FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are you taking clients at this time? Yes! I am taking clients seeking treatment for anxiety and OCD---for both group counseling and for full-day intensives for individuals. My practice is currently full for weekly individual clients.
How can I learn more about the groups you offer? Please visit my groups page here
How can I learn more about your individual intensives? For more information about intensives click here
Do you provide telehealth services? Yes! I provide counseling through telehealth (video or phone). I have found so many benefits of participating in counseling through telehealth. It is incredibly convenient--no need to commute to a counseling office. It is great for people who are short on time, again because of no commute and because you can fit a session between other activities.
Do you take insurance? Yes, I accept the following insurance for individual weekly sessions when I have availability:
Oregon
Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, Providence, UMR, UnitedHealthcare
Texas
Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, UMR, UnitedHealthcare
If your insurance is not with these companies, you may still have out-of-network benefits that can be utilized for counseling. There are some insurance plans for which it is very difficult to find a provider, and in this case it would be a great idea to check into your out-of-network benefits to increase provider options.
How much are your individual sessions if not using insurance? My rate as an OCD and Anxiety Specialist is $205 for a 55-minute session. If self-pay is not an option for your situation, some people pay for sessions, in part, by using out-of-network benefits. You can typically also use HSA/FSA benefits to pay for counseling sessions.
